Angel meets Call in a mall and he soon becomes her boyfriend. And he soon starts asking her to do things. And he soon requires her to start doing things. And one day, he brings home a little girl. And he's going to ask her to do things too... Will Angel find a way to save them both?
Tough book. Well written, hard to put down, but difficult subject matter.
I really liked the writing and Angel's voice. You can hear how young she is, yet how mature she became. She is naive, hopeful, strong yet damaged. I don't want to say too much about it because I think it needs to be experienced.
I wouldn't recommend this book to everyone, but I think most people should read it. It broke my heart, and gave me hope.
