The Time Traveler's (Book One in The Gideon Trilogy) by Linda Buckley-Archer.
Isn't it beautiful? This was created by one of my favorite artists James Jean, who I love from his Fable's fame. His artwork is gorgeous, amazing, breathtakingly brilliant. See for yourself.
Jean created many many covers for the Fable's graphic novels and if you haven't read Fables, then you should be! Right. Now.

Now getting back to the Shelf Candy, Jean created the front cover so of course my friend and I bought it. I have heard mixed reviews on the book itself, but with a cover like that, I'll take a chance on it.
It is really great. I am a big fan of the artistic talent of pure illustration to begin with. I am off to check out more of his work.
ReplyDeleteI love this pick and I love that you literally picked a book based on it's cover. I wonder if cover illustrators have any idea how awesome we think they are ! I bet it's a pretty cool job. Either that or a lot of pressure.
