Shelf Candy Saturday!!! (20)

Hello and welcome to another edition of Shelf Candy!

Thanks to our host, Five Alarm Book Reviews, for creating and hosting this awesome weekly meme.

And now... onto the show!

My Shelf Candy for this week is an oldie but a goodie!

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
Synopsis can be found here.

Beautifully written, think crazy adult fairy tale!
And the cover does it justice.
The whimsical cover, the relaxing boy with his book. And the old crone near the top, watching and waiting. There are so many wonderful things about this book that kept me on edge late into the night.
I have the red cover in paperback, but the dark blue/black cover is just as beautiful. Can't you see being wrapped in those wines, unable to escape this tale?

Horror, Fantasy and Adventure awaits!
A perfect cover to an awesome book.

What do you think?

  2. I am glad to see an older pub featured. These are terrific. I tend to like red and black together, but in this case, I have to go with the black with gold. It is stunning. Thanks for sharing it.

  4. Awesome pick! I love how simple they are, and how the only difference between the paperback and hardback is the colour. It sucks when a gorgeous hardcover comes out in paperback and the cover has been redesigned.

Thanks for stopping by Project to be Read :)
