Shelf Candy! (11)

Thanks to Five Alarm Books for hosting Shelf Candy Saturday!
Another awesome reason to look forward to Saturdays!

My Shelf Candy for this Saturday is:

Mercury by Hope Larson

Synopsis can be found here.

I found this cover to be so beautiful, I pushed all my other Shelf Candys back a week!
I love the teal green of the background, the silouette of the girl facing left, the feathers anf faces of the birds through her hair. I love the house on fire with a white hot and yellow flame, dancing high into the night. And the swift cursive title standing out from the dark background.
It's a very beautiful cover, simple yet telling the reader TONS about what might be found inside the pages. It is all left to our imagination.

There's a lot of mystery in this cover, and I can't wait to read what it's about!

  4. I have never seen this book. One of the greatest things about this cover is that you don't get to see everything at first glance. After reading the synopsis it is clear that the cover is a great fit for the story.
